Google Areo - Food delivery, home services & many more : Hyperlocal app launched in India

Google has quietly launched the new app on Google play in India..Google Areo is a local services application that allows you to pay bills, order food, call a plumber to fix your sink, or have a beautician come over to give you a facial.

This is a one single app for food delivery and home services which is recently available only in Bangalore and Mumbai, bringing the city’s top food and home services right to your door.You have to Pay by card, netbanking or cash on delivery for this service.

The government in month of march  proposed to lower the cash transaction limit to Rs 2 lakh, from Rs 3 lakh announced in the Budget, as it introduced 40 amendments to the Finance Bill in an unprecedented move. As the Finance Bill was taken up for consideration in the Lok Sabha, the opposition parties protested against the introduction of these many amendments, saying it was being done as a "back-door entry". Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, however, overruled the objections raised by the opposition parties, saying the incidental provisions involved in the amendments constitute a Money Bill and therefore can be considered as part of the Finance Bill. The proposed amendments to the Finance Bill include a provision to cap legal cash transactions at Rs 2 lakh. While presenting the Budget on 1 February  Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had proposed to make any cash transaction beyond Rs 3 lakh as illegal with effect from April this year. Paytm food wallet launched

India's Top Mobile wallet and payment bank, Paytm launched its Food Wallet on its existing Paytm application. This latest feature will allow employers to transfer food allowance in a cashless manner under the tax- free bracket. The new update will allow users to redeem food vouchers at office cafeteria and a wide range of online and physical merchants including KFC, Burger King, Zomato, Pizza Hut, and Big Bazaar etc. As per the Paytm companies blog, employees will also be provided additional  benefits like exclusive deals, discounts and cashbacks. PAYTM Senior Vice President Kiran Vasireddy said"Corporate employees can now pay for their food and beverages using their mobile on the go and keep a track of all payments made on the app. This will offer great convenience when compared to the traditional instruments like paper vouchers and will have tax benefits too.”
